Attention: This workshop has been POSTPONED. Stay tune for Spring 2017!

Northern California Association of DeafBlind (NCADB) and The Northern California Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (NorCRID) are hosting a Pro-Tactile workshop.

We are thrilled to share that aj granda and Jelica Nuccio from Seattle will share the formula they developed which broadens the spectrum of communication for the DeafBlind outside of the standard tactile communication.

The mission of this workshop is to increase training and awareness to sign language interpreters and supporters who can translate/communicate clearly with the deafblind individuals by using Pro-Tactile sign language.

Pro-Tactile means "touch communication."  Touch is used to fill in gaps to DeafBlind individuals, such as environmental information ( people leaving/entering the room, how large a crowd is) and emotions (nodding a head, laughing).

NorCRID is a CMP Sponsor.  CEUs pending.
