NorCRID BOARD

BOARD COHESION

  • Unified representation to community
  • Confidential and trustworthy relations with each other
  • Bring community concerns to the Board
  • Responsive to community from the unified Board perspective
  • Attend required # of meetings (different for each role)
  • Succession Planning - Transition responsibilities to the next member
  • Monthly Board Meetings - Minimum 6/year (check bylaws)

  • Maintains interest in the operating accounts and financial transactions of the board
  • Provide receipts and documentation on any approved expenses

              • Upload Draft Minutes in GDrive  
              • Email everyone stating they need to be reviewed within 7 days.    
              • Add Action Items to Email.  
              • Ask for Agenda Items due by Day 15

Day 15            Agenda items due to Secretary

Day 17            Secretary will email to group:  

              • Minutes have been edited - inform of either no significant changes OR highlight significant changes.
              • Draft Agenda for next meeting.
              • Changes to agenda due by Day 24.

Day 28            Send final agenda

NorCRID PRESIDENT/VICE PRESIDENT - 2-year terms

REPRESENTATION

  • Attend Bi-Monthly Region V Meetings
  • Yearly RID/Region V Conferences
  • Prepare RID Annual Report
  • Annual Membership Report via Annual Business Meeting
  • Monthly Board Meetings - Minimum 6/year (check bylaws)

COMMUNICATION

  • Communicates 3- 6 month account balance to the board at each meeting
  • Communicates balance of encumbered funds at each meeting
  • Responsive to NorCRID emails, motions

  • Treasurer’s Report for every meeting
  • Completed Action Items
  • Read and ready to approve previous Minutes
  • Ready to discuss concerns, ideas, plans, goals

EVENTS/ELECTIONS

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Pay Accounts Payable
  • Advising board of fiscal impacts of motions
  • Record and carry out financial decisions made by the board
  • As a voting member of the Board, makes educated decisions about motions with financial impact
  • Maintains interest in the operating accounts and financial transactions of the board
  • Completes annual financial report

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT

  • Keeps transaction logs
  • Prepares a statement of earnings and expenses (check LIz’s work)

MEMBER AT LARGE 2-year term/ALTERNATE 1-year term

REPRESENTATION

  • Bring community concerns to the Board
  • Responsive to community from the unified Board perspective
  • Board Meetings - Minimum 6/year (check bylaws)

COMMUNICATION

  • Responsive to NorCRID emails, motions

EVENTS/ELECTIONS

  • Participate in the planning &/or day of the event logistics of some NorCRID events.
  • Contribute to the publicizing and promoting of events

  • Maintains interest in the operating accounts and financial transactions of the board
  • Provide receipts and documentation on any approved expenses

VOTING FOR ALTERNATE

  • The Alternate Members shall be elected to serve in the event that a current board member resigns or is removed from office before the term has expired.  Alternate Members shall not have voting privileges on the Executive Board until such time as they fill an unexpired term. At least one of the Alternate Members shall be RID certified.
